Wicked - New York - Best seats ?????

I would like to go to see Wicked at The Gershwin Theatre on Broadway. I've heard some horror stories about bad seats with obstructed views. Before I drop $130 a ticket, I would like to hear from people who have been to see this show at this location. Where are the best seats for Wicked at the Gershwin Theatre? Thanks

A lot of the problem is that the Gershwin is one of the biggest (if not the biggest) of the Broadway theatres. The Gershwin and the Minskoff are not very hospitable, space-wise.

The mezzanine in the Gershwin does not overhang a whole lot, so it's way back there. If you're in the upper mezz, it can feel like you're watching a play on a football field. Some of the seats on the sides are specifically designated as partial view, but they should tell you that. I think those seats are cheaper. I would stick to middle of the orchestra or the very front mezzanine.

wow, i saw that when it first came out in theaters, it was awesome im sure that ull enjoy it. Go to ticketmaster.com
The more a ticket costs, the better your view will be because you will be closer to the stage. There is an auction for a limited number of front row seats. You show up 2 and1/2 hours before the performance and enter your name in a drawing. Also, ticket prices are usually decreased on the day of the performance at the box office.

For example, VIP orchestra section (very front and center) is $99 instead of $300 at the Pantages in LA.
