I'm going to New York for a day December 1. I believed we're getting dropped off at Rockefeller Center in the morning, I have tickets to a Broadway show the starts at 2pm, and we're leaving a short time after the show is over, maybe after we have dinner. What should I do in the morning before the show? (I am somewhat accustomed to the area around the theatre and wanted to stay in Manhattan.)
Thanks for any help!

Bonnerlips has obviously never been to the Bronx. Nor did he see that you will be staying in midtown.
I would recommend checking out all the midtown sights. Staying along 42nd st, you can check out Times Square, Bryant Park, Grand Central Station, the Chrysler Building, Met Life Building, and the UN (44th st %26amp; First Ave.)
The Empire State Building is located at 34th st %26amp; Fifth Ave.
Madison Square Garden %26amp; Penn Station is located down the street @ 34th st. %26amp; Eighth Ave.
Columbus Circle is at 59th st. %26amp; Eighth Ave.
There are tons of places to have breakfast /lunch.
Enjoy your day.
Plans for a Trip to New York City?performing arts opera theater
Go to the "Top Of The Rock".
First Elevator is at 8:30 AM
I'm guessing you have very limited time so you might want to stay near where the broadway show is. I'm guessing it's anywhere from 42nd to 59th St around broadway. Since it is December when you get here, the Christmas tree might be here already, so take a few pictures at Rockefeller, stroll over to 6th Ave n just walk down in street #s, you'll see all the huge christmas ornaments in front of all the buildings. If that's not enough, stay around Times Square (42nd and broadway) and take pictures, although they took down our infamous Cup Noodle, there's still a ton of things to "look up" at. Enjoy!
stay out of the Bronx!
