What are the sight lines like at ASU Gammage? Can you see the stage well from the Grand Tier and the

Tickets for Wicked are sold out through Ticketmaster. Scalpers are selling Orchestra seats for outrageous prices, so I'll have to settle for Grand Tier or Balcony...if we'll be able to see the show from there. We've just recently moved to the area and have never been to this theatre. Since we live about 50 miles away, it isn't feasible to go take a look. If anyone who has been to a performance at Gammage would be kind enough to give their opinion, it would be greatly appreciated!

You can see the stage well from either the Grand Tier or the Balcony. I would suggest Grand Tier. From the Balcony you'll miss upstage flying effects, such as in Phantom as they're walking down the catwalks to the catacombs or Miss Saigon as the helicopter lands. You certainly won't want to miss Elphaba's "Defying Gravity"!

Acoustically I thought Gammage was awful. From the Balcony I had a hard time distinguishing much of what was sung until I saw Les Miserables and heard every single note. Each bus-and-truck company brings their own sound and the Les Mis company had a great sound system.
