New Year's Eve Cruise - did this one year - no matter what your musical tastes are - we all had fun!

'Take to the Thames this New Year's Eve and see in 2006 in style with a champagne and dinner cruise, followed by live jazz and a disco. Bateaux London are offering a superb midnight cruise including a three-course dinner, live jazz and the chance to count down to 2006 as fireworks explode along the river. '

Dinner cruises are a brilliant experience whether you are a visitor or have lived in London all your life. The city is magical by night and the route goes via Tower Hill, past the Palace of Westminster, all the way to the Dome and back. Plus, on New Year's Eve the sky should be alive with fireworks. A beautiful, unforgettable way to see in the New Year with family or close friends.

New Year in London is a fairly adult affair so if you haven't done it before I would just like to warn you. After midnight until about 6am there will be very drunk and noisy people roaming the streets - no taxis to be had and although there is a free night bus service paid for this year, it will be packed and not very pleasant for a family.
You can go ice-skating at the Natural History Museum - they are open til late and it is very festive!
Go ice skating! Its fun exercise and a great excuse to wear Christmas hats and scarves and everyone can enjoy a hot chocolate afterwards!
